Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
